Terms of use

Last updated 2026-07-12

Short, because the service is small and honest about what it is.

What this is

KarirKalyan is a job application tracker, built and run by an individual as a portfolio project that is also used in earnest. It is free. It is not a company, not a product, and not sold to anyone.

Accounts

There is no sign-up. Accounts are created by the operator, and nobody can register one from the web. If you have an account, you are responsible for what happens under it — the password is the whole of the security.

The demo account

The demo credentials are public — printed in the project's README, and shipped in the sign-in page's own JavaScript — so the demo account is shared and world-writable: anyone reading this can change or delete anything in it. Put nothing in it you would mind a stranger seeing, and expect it to be reset to its seeded state without warning.

As-is, with no warranty

The service is provided as-is. There is no uptime commitment, no support obligation, and no guarantee that data survives — though the operator does back it up daily, and the account archive export exists precisely so that your copy does not depend on the operator's. The service can change or stop at any time.

Fair use

Do not attack the service, script it, or use it to store anything unlawful. Rate limits are enforced in code, and an account that tries to work around them can be removed.

Changes

These terms may change. The date at the top says when they last did, and the full history is in the public git repository — every version of this page is a commit anyone can read.
